Great article and beautiful photos. I like portrait photography, and I pay much attention to the background. I do photography in my studio, so I buy some backdrops to set up different backgrounds. They have simple but vintage colors and will not make the background too busy. And the unique artistic design will make portrait photos more unique.

I use a 16″ dish mainly for head and shoulders shots. If you want softer light or you want to cover more area (full Length) choose a larger dish.
